Home Hill :: Tasmanian Boutique Vineyard, Winery and Restaurant.
http://homehillwines.com.au/

Home Hill is very much a Tasmanian Boutique Vineyard, Winery, and Restaurant. For many people we are the country retreat. Come join us for a feast of delicious Tasmanian delicacies, gourmet recipes made from good fresh country ingredients. Home Hill produces a Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sylvaner, Sparkling Cuvee and a Late Harvest Sticky wine. Not to mention the gold trophies and many wine show medals.

Take the A6 road south of Hobart for about 30 minutes and discover Home Hill in the heart of the Huon Valley. The decision to use Rammed earth, Local hardwoods and Polished Cement, came about so as to capture the elements of the environment, such as the beautiful colours and textures of the Huon Valley. We wanted to bring the natural beauty of the surrounding Vineyard and country side to the Dining experience. The Home Hill Winery Restaurant was conceptualised by Terry Bennett and the Bennett family, designed by Brian Wyatt and built by Brian Larratt. We are open for morning and afternoon Tea and Coffee with home made cakes and biscuits seven days a week.

Hawley Vineyards
http://www.hawleyhousetas.com/

Hawley House (c.1878) offers superb accommodation, an idyllic setting for weddings, romantic sandy beaches, estate grown wines and internationally acclaimed landscaped water gardens for guests from far and wide to enjoy. The gentle protected east-facing slopes enfolding Hawley House run down to the pristine and sheltered sandy beaches of the Rubicon Bay. It is from these slopes that a vineyard of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes has astounded wine palates with its intensely floral and aromatic fruit. The proximity of the site to the sea is unique. Many Australian gold medals have been harvested by both varieties.
Hawley House has been the Houghton family's home for three generations. The house, her Stables and the Vineyard Pavilion are one with her peacock lawns, water gardens, the sandy beaches and the Narawntapu National Park beyond. Hawley unashamedly embraces the patina created by her 130 year history, and the idiosyncrasies of being a family home, not least of which is her unique rooftop bath. Hawley House is the original homestead of the 150 hectare Hawley estate which sustains a substantial vineyard and an extensive and comprehensive wildlife reserve.

Jansz vineyards
http://www.jansztas.com/

In the northeast corner of Australia's southern island state is a wine region so perfect for creating sparkling wine that it has captured the interest of world-renowned French Champagne houses such as Louis Roederer of Reims, France, who shared the belief that the climate of the area was ideal for the production of finely structured méthode champenoise and helped establish the Jansz Tasmania vineyard. With a climate very close to that of Champagne, this region is known simply as 'Sparkling Tasmania'. The Jansz vineyards lie in the Tamar Valley at the heart of Tasmania’s Pipers River region - the very centre of 'Sparkling Tasmania'.

With a mantle of red basalt soils and a cool climate moderated by the proximity of Bass Strait, the Jansz Tasmania vineyards are ideal for allowing grapes to ripen slowly and develop the lingering acidity essential to produce a premium sparkling wine.Jansz Tasmania has evolved to become known as the benchmark Australian sparkling wine.

Josef Chromy Tasmania
http://www.josefchromy.com.au/

The fork-tailed lion first appeared on the arms of the Kingdom of Bohemia in the 12th Century. Symbolising our founder’s heritage it represents a story of two tales. Josef fled his war-torn Czech village in 1950 as a penniless 20-year-old after eleven years of Nazi and Soviet occupation. He escaped across borders guarded by minefields, dogs and soldiers, suffering five months of privation before immigrating to Australia. Today Josef Chromy OAM is recognised for his commitment and contribution to quality food and wine in Tasmania. Our ambition is to build on that tradition.
The Josef Chromy cellar door, vineyard and winery is located at Relbia, a fifteen minute drive south of Launceston in Northern Tasmania and just a short distance from the Launceston Airport. The estate includes a 61 hectare (150 acre) vineyard and newly completed state of the art winery, producing elegant wines from premium cool climate fruit. Varieties grown include Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurtz Traminer and Pinot Noir. We also make a premium sparkling wine and Botrytis Riesling, which make for an expansive and exciting portfolio.

The Wine Route - Wine Tasmania
http://www.winetasmania.com.au/

Welcome to Tasmania’s wine routes – showcasing all four wine touring regions in the State. You will note that all four regions are located close to major cities and towns, as well as some of Tasmania’s award winning attractions. Outstanding accommodation and dining options are also located nearby, giving you the perfect half or full day touring options. Tasmania’s quality wines are made from grapes grown in climates similar to those of the famous European wines – with mild summers and long autumn days that slowly ripen the grapes.
Tasmania’s boutique, yet burgeoning, wine industry boasts four distinct wine regions – the north, the south, the east coast and the north-west. All are within easy reach of major population centres or en route to some of Tasmania’s icon attractions. Each region offers a diverse and sophisticated range of wine styles. These wines are available from an equally diverse array of cellar doors – from ultra modern restaurants to quaint cottages to heritage stables and converted backyard sheds. Each vineyard has its own special charm and character and as we know, wine never tastes better than when you sample it direct from the cellar door!
