Mango Wines from Golden Drop http://www.goldendrop.com.au/
The mango rightly deserves the reputation as the king of all superb fruits, and our own Australian variety, the Kensington Red, is among the world's best with its fragrant flavour and smooth texture. Located just outside Mareeba, in the heart of Australia's Tropical North Queensland, Golden Drop is the brand name for a versatile range of still and sparkling white wines with extremely delicate fruity flavours produced from the sweet flesh of the Kensington Red by Golden Pride Wineries. Golden Pride Wineries is a boutique winery owned and operated by the Nastasi family and situated on their mango plantation - one of the largest commercial mango plantation in Far North Queensland, and one of the largest in Australia. Golden Drop, when served chilled, provides the wonderful experience of crisp intense fruity flavours on the palate and a delicate aftertaste, whilst remaining refreshing and light. An absolutely terrific wine to be enjoyed - premium quality, refreshing and light - and a terrific wine for, and from, the tropics. |

Mount Tamborine Winery http://www.mttamborinewinery.com/
Mount Tamborine Winery & Homestead welcomes you to our exciting new winery site. Mount Tamborine Vineyard & Winery was the first winery and vineyard to establish in the Gold Coast Hinterland Wine Country and we are located at 128 Long Road Gallery Walk Tamborine Mountain. We are very proud that we are one of Mt Tamborine's boutique wineries that grow and produce all their own red, white and fortified wines at our Ballandean property Severn Hills Vineyard and Winery. Our winery was originally established by founder and visionary Roger Hart in 1990 and after his passing in November 2003, Roger's vision for establishing a prominent place for exceptional food and wine within South-East Queensland's Gold Coast Hinterland region has been continued by his wife Ann and daughter Danielle Hart. The Gallery Walk Cellar Door outlet exclusively sells their award winning wines including the famous Tehembrin Merlot, Daisy Chardonnay, Chocolate Port, Show Reserve Muscat and their Ruby Port (previously called Bush Turkey Port - next time you call into the cellar door ask our wonderful sales staff about the great story behind the name change). Located in the heart of the town's famous Gallery Walk tourist strip, the facility includes, restaurant, coffee shop, gourmet foods & gift shops. |

Queensland Wine http://www.queenslandwine.com.au/
Queensland's wine industry is one of the State's best keep secrets and is growing. The history of the industry dates back to the 1860's - and like all good wines it has developed with age. With over 1300 hectares of vines and a new generation of talented people at the top, the creation of quality Queensland wines has had wide acceptance nationally and internationally.
As wine tourism gathers momentum globally, the burgeoning industry has seen more trail blazers emerge and cellar doors open. It's easy to lose count of the number of passionate vignerons and their families who warmly welcome visitors to experience the fruits of their labours, taste their Verdelho, Semillon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon varieties, plus full-bodied Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon reds. |

Romavilla Winery QLD's Oldest Winery http://www.romavilla.com/
Queensland's oldest winery, specialising in mail order wine. As well as white wines red wines and fortified wines. Roma (elevation 300m) is situated on the western slope of the Great Dividing Range, about 500km west of Brisbane. Romavilla's vineyards are on the northern edge of Roma on the flood plain of the Bungil Creek which runs down from the hills around Injune to the north. Bungil Creek and the Maranoa River have their sources in the rugged country just to the north of Roma and are headwaters of the Murray/Darling Rivers system which stretches thousands of kilometres to South Australia. The summers are hot and the winters cold as in most inland areas of Australia.Romavilla's vineyards are unirrigated and yields are low. Generally fungus diseases are not as big a problem as in areas closer to the coast. Hence the use of fungicides is lower. A few times over the last ten years floods have come down the Bungil and surrounded the vineyards which are on slight rises, while Roma has had a clear blue sky overhead. The soil is sandy loam and grape varieties grown include Shiraz, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Crouchen and Muscats. Typically vintage starts about the 20th January, about one week ahead of the Hunter River region, N.S.W. Grape growing and wine making are among Roma's longest established industries. |
